Meh. He's a pro style QB so it's neither surprising nor particularly disappointing. If anything I kinda like it because it seems like Kirby is still 5 years behind the curve. Even Saban has gone to guys who are dual threats. With the exception of Lawrence who is obviously an outlier, was the #1 overall guy on Rivals versus this kid at 83, and actually runs the ball pretty damn well, every champion in the playoff era has had a dual threat QB and about 80% of the play-off teams have. The fact that UGA is still prioritizing pro style kids is not a bad thing whether they get them or not.
“I think there are some key components for our football team that aren't playing for us right now. And we're very thin in some areas. And it is what it is. I'm not making excuses, that's just the facts, and it's real. I think we've got a good staff and I think that we've got a really good football team. They're fighting their butt off this Saturday, first of all, and heading into spring. And I'm excited about that. I'm excited about this Saturday and our guys getting out and competing again."
