My first rule if I was ever a head coach would be we will never call "Up the middle" play call inside the 10! Apparently Lsu doesn't follow this rule along with Napier!

Reminds me of Zook calling quarterback sneaks from the five yard line while he was at Illinois, in a game that Illinois ultimately lost because they couldn't score.
I saw another example of stupid play calling twice from the one yard line, once in the TCU-Kansas State game and once in the LSU-Georgia game. Both TCU and LSU ran handoffs from the shotgun with fourth and goal from the one. In both instances, the extra distance between the runner and the goal line allowed the defense time to close in and stuff the play for a loss.

I still have a hard time reconciling how long ago the Tebow / Harvin dynasty was. Seems like yesterday. It’s special when you have the best player but it’s ridiculously fun when you have the best two players. Heady times for us. That was so long ago now it hurts. We are wobbling and not to be too realistic but the near future doesn’t look great unless we land a great QB in the portal among other things. High hopes but we’re a .500 club for the next year or two. That’s where we are.
