I didn’t watch it but I just read the score was 10-7. 17 total point in a scrimmage. Not super great.

Yeah Baby! Austin Armstrong’s arrival has instantly elevated the defense to an elite level. I can’t recall a Spring game where fewer points were scored. Maybe a Muschamp year? Or there was one Spring we didn’t have enough players to field a team… either way, so glad the defense is back on track and not getting burned on third and long.

The article I read said this was the lowest scoring Spring game in UF history. It was previously indeed a Muschamp squad that held that honor.

Apparently there were major issues snapping the football. Which one would expect at this level.

Shirley you can't be serious. A head coach who doubles as OC/playcaller (because it worked in the Sunbelt) just had a combined 17 points in the Spring game? Between the Spring game and the bowl game this offense has scored a combined 20 points in 12 quarters of football. Hire a fucking offensive coordinator. No more "this is really secretly a good thing, I'd tell you why but then I'd have to kill you but if you ask anybody who shares my last name they'll tell you I'm gonna win the awards. All of them!" Stop hiring guys that you know aren't a threat to take your job. Do something different. Please. You seem like a good guy, the last 3 before you were impossible to root for and the guy before that was about the most dislikable human on the planet but won enough that it didn't matter. I can't even begin to describe how big a bump that a 10-7 shootout that made it all the way to ESPN+ and SECN+ on a fucking Thursday night (prime time baby!) is going to give us amongst offensive 4 & 5 stars. The whole point of having the game on Thursday was to have a shot at getting it on television and we got streaming services that only the most die hard fans would watch. Or even have the ability to. The real reason is so that blue chippers might come to the game because it wouldn't conflict with real programs' games. There I said it, we are not considered a real program anymore. Acceptance is hard but necessary. I saw a picture of the crowd on Facebook and if they announced the stadium as a 40% full it's a lie. Our recruiting right now is Corey Raymond and hope to God somebody has some sort of inside connection. I'd be shocked if we hold onto Lagaway if the offense is mediocre (like it was last year) and it's clearly projecting to be worse. They say it's always darkest before dawn so I'll take hope in that I guess.

So in the last 12 quarters against Oregon State's first team defense and a combo of UF's 1-2nd string this offense has produce 20 points. That averages out to nearly a touchdown per game. I don't know why you'd hire an offensive coordinator under those circumstances. I stand corrected. Apologies for doubting the process.

It was playing at the restaurant where I ate lunch today. Luckily they had a bar.

We can't even score when no one is allowed to hit the QB. The Utah game is going to be a bloodbath.
