That's awesome. What a great kid. To think that a lot of fans were rooting for the opposite extreme (Kitna) to take over. He's about as true a Gator as I can think of not named Spurrier or Tebow. Maybe throw in Trask but he had a lack of options that Richardson certainly did not. So for those keeping score at home Dan Mullen (the gift that keeps on giving) is now responsible at least partly (admittedly I don't like the guy because he's a douchebag) for:
1) Costing us an undefeated season in 2008 (2 deep passes, the second one to Harvin, run the option with James who gets 8 yards when Harvin would have gotten 15 but he couldn't get the ball because he'd just run a fly pattern, Tebow dive)
2) Letting the best QB up to that time for Meyer's system (that he liked to say was his) exit stage left from the program after at the very least offering the perception that John Brantley was a co-second string, don't worry though 2 years later he and his buddy Scotty ran a program that tried to buy Cam back
3) Under-developing and not starting the most athletic QB in the history of football in a system that relies largely on a QBs athleticism. Literally, if you created a QB for the Meyer spread option in a lab it would be Anthony Richardson. And he's from Gainesville. And he stuck with the program through thick and thin. What a missed opportunity.
Don't worry that Mullen magic is still in effect because Stricklin is creating his own legacy of absolute incompetence and carrying the torch.
Sorry, went of topic, amazing young man, we were lucky to have him and I hope he does great things. Go Gators

Read an article from an Indy sports guy who was just gushing over AR. Drooling. I'm really looking forward to watching his career trajectory, and I don't even watch the NFL. RG
