I am planning a visit to Jacksonville this fall to visit my sister. Considering the last time that I saw the Gators play live I was wearing a band uniform at the 1974 Sugar Bowl, I decided that it would be a good idea to go to a home game while I am there. My brother-in-law said that there are flyers throughout Florida at Costco offering two tickets plus a drink and a hot dog for $60 for select games.

On the bright side at least they are not giving away the tickets if you buy a hot dog and a drink. Does that mean your brother-in-law gets your free hot dog and drink? Bummer.

It could be worse. My car was parked at a restaurant in Knoxville a couple of years ago. When I came out after dinner, my driver’s side window was smashed and someone had placed two Vols football tickets on my dashboard.

They are end zone seats, but at that price I will gladly take in my first live Gator action since the 1974 Sugar Bowl (that's right - I was 19 and wearing a band uniform).
BTW - the hot dog and drink goes with both tickets. I'm in Section 55 but pretty high up (row 79).

Missouri. The hell of it is that I didn't realize until after my brother-in-law and I had bought tickets that it is homecoming, and I could have done alumni band. At my age, I don't know how many more opportunities that there will be.

People in Gainesville are now telling me that it is still a possibility. The only thing is that my brother-in-law, who helped me to get tickets, is my ride to Gainesville and I had planned to sit with him. That I haven't picked up a horn in 35 years is inconsequential.

Ok, here is gut punch number 2 regarding the current state of our program and who the Gators became under Dan the Man Mullen. This is from an ESPN article today on this weeks FL-KY matchup (take note, FL is not in the conversation): "Over the past five seasons (going back to the start of 2017), only four SEC teams have won more games than Kentucky: Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M. With 42 wins, the Aggies have only one more victory than the Wildcats during that stretch." UF is not in the top 5 teams in the SEC in wins over the past 5 years .......... let that sink in and then go have an ice cold beverage of you choice.
