I'm not putting this on Napier, but I just realized in the last calendar year we are 1-7 in the SEC with a lone win against Vandy. We've lost 7 straight. Last year aside from UGA none of the losses were to ranked teams. The end of 2020 was when Mullen was riding highest and decided to throw his hat in the ring (largely unsolicited) for NFL jobs. We closed that year with 3 straight losses including 2 in the SEC. I knew he sucked, but NFL Dan really did a number on the program. All while Stricklin was playing his fiddle and ignoring sexual harassment in other sports.

Embarrassing. I'm expecting 3-4 SEC wins the remainder of this year. Fingers crossed.

If you want to see real ineptitude, check out the Fire Will Muschamp Museum.

If you want to see real ineptitude, check out the Fire Will Muschamp Museum. I just did, and wow my nightmares returned. My favorite accomplishment: "Finished 112th in the nation in scoring at 18.8 points per game (Baylor led the country at 52.4 PPG)". Urban Meyer's teams were scoring 30+ppg against SEC defenses, and then we got Will Muschamp. His entire philosophy was to run the ball so the defense could rest (and look good). Then blame the hamstrung offense for losing the game. I'll never forget the stiffy he got, beating UT 10-9 in a 4th quarter comeback after not scoring for the first three. Jeff Driskel threw the ball 23 times, completing 11 of them for 59 yards. You read that right. There was more than one pass complete for negative yards. Each team had 8 punts. There were 7 turnovers between them, the key one a fumble that gave the Gators a 30 yard field, resulting in the only TD of the game. A late FG won the game for the Gators and Will Muschamp was beside himself. It was almost a perfect game! I just threw up a little bit in my mouth, reliving this achievement. RG

A couple of my favorites:
Only two losses in school history when holding an opponent to less than 120 yards of total offense.
First loss to Vanderbilt since 1982, and first home loss since 1945.
