Stay safe. Heed warnings from public officials. If ordered to evacuate, get out ASAP, don't wait. We will be here after this is over.
The EWU-UF game has been moved to Sunday because of anticipated storm effects.

We are fine over here on the east coast. It came through here as a Cat 1 Wed night and I slept through it. But SW FL is in terrible, terrible shape. Fort Myers looks like tornado alley. We were just there in Sanibel and Captiva, two islands you can't even get to any more. Very sad.

This storm is pissing me off!!!! I have a brother-in-law Ft Meyers and 2 nieces in Cape Coral. They got hit right in the mouth. Then the darn thing cut across the state pretty much directly to where my mother and sister live in Palm Bay and Melbourne. Now it is heading to the Carolinas where I have cousins, nieces and nephews spread from Myrtle Beach to Wilmington. I mean damn what did we ever do to Ian to become such a target!
So far all are fine and doing well physically. Thank God. One niece and her husband in Cape Coral have a kitchen remodeling business that they have built over the past 20 years. Lots of custom cabinetry, beautiful building with a showroom, offices and a big warehouse and workshop in the back. Building is still standing proud, but they haven't found the roof yet. Complete roof just ripped off and scattered to the wind. Business is a total loss. Guess it could be worse, better the business than their house.

Yeah it managed to hit my Dad's widow in Fort Myers, my brother and niece in Orlando, me in Indialantic, my other niece in Port Orange. Aunts & Uncles in Tampa were somewhat spared even though they were supposed to be ground zero. Fvcker.

My stepdaughter was in a hotel in the resort corridor in Orlando, on a trip with a college friend. They cancelled plans to go on to Miami. They lost power for about six hours. They are flying back to Oklahoma today.
A work colleague who moved to a condo north of Tampa evacuated inland, said her condo is fine. A friend who lives on a boat near Clearwater evacuated as well, and found his boat undamaged. My sister in Jacksonville said that they lost power briefly a couple of times, but largely unscathed.

I live in Volusia county and we got it pretty bad here. My power is still out and likely will be for a couple of more days. The power lines on my street are on the ground. We got 25 inches of rain where I live I think is what the final estimate was. Lots of water.
