That's big specifically because we need a QB of the future and the kid we had seemed like a decent but not great prospect which can work out but it's the exception not the rule. It's encouraging generally because it would appear that: 1) Recruits are starting to see Cristobal as a carnival barker rather than an up and coming coach who will compete for national championships 2) We've got our NIL house more in order. Kids from California can sign NIL deals in high school. Haven't seen where Caspino (who reps a lot of the CA QBs) is no longer in the picture so I assume nothing has changed there. Hopefully somebody explained the difference between the Gator Guard (who has the assets to accomplish what Napier wants) and Gator Collective (funded by alumni which is a nice way to feel a part of but isn't really a needle mover but for some reason Caspino was in a pissing match with during the UM commitment) and there will be continued delineation between the two. The kool-aid drinkers, some of my friends included, may feel like that knocks us off the high road. Newsflash: there is no high road. Every single major program is heavily engaged in NIL brokering. It's legal and the only way to keep up. Hell, even Saban-Dimbo spat sprung from Saban telling the Bama boosters they were getting their asses handed to them by A&M. Good get, and better sign of things to come, seems like we won't be recruiting with one arm tied behind our back anymore.

This is great, but you have to ask whether this "commitment" means more than the last "commitment". He's not the only one, not even close - these young guys don't seem to understand the word commitment. Like, at all. So, fingers crossed he means it this time and becomes a great Gator QB. RG

I hear terms like "soft verbal". What does that even mean? Until the signature is on the national letter of intent, it all means jack.
