Florida 38, South Carolina 6 - The defense built on the progress from the second half of the Texas A&M game. The Gamecocks were held to 237 yards total offense and 11 first downs. The defense also created three turnovers. The Gators gained 374 yards on the ground. Montrell Johnson, Jr. rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Georgia 45, Mississippi State 19 - The battle of the Bulldogs was a contest for a half. Georgia led 17-12 at the half before scoring the first 14 points of the third quarter. Georgia had two turnovers. MSU had a 63 yard punt return for a touchdown with 51 seconds remaining in the half, but they missed a two point conversion that would have made it a three point game.
Tennessee 66, Missouri 24 - The Vols set a school record with 724 yards total offense, 460 yards of that through the air. After a 7-7 first quarter, Tennessee scored 21 points in the second to lead 28-17 at the half. They added another 38 points in the second half.
LSU 13, Arkansas 10 - Not a lot of offense, as both teams had less than 300 yards total. The Tigers led 6-3 at the half, and they stretched the lead to 13-3 with the only points of the third quarter on a one yard touchdown run.
Alabama 30, Ole Miss 24 - The Rebels had ten point leads twice. The game changer came late in the first half. Leading 17-7, Ole Miss fumbled deep in their own territory, allowing the Tide to cut the lead to 17-14 before halftime. With the game tied at 24 late, two Alabama field goals were the only scoring in the fourth quarter. A Rebel pass into the end zone on fourth down fell incomplete, and Alabama took a knee twice to close it out. The SECCG is now set, Georgia vs. LSU.
Vanderbilt 24, Kentucky 21 - After 26 straight conference losses, the Commodores got a win on the road in Lexington. Most of the scoring happened in the fourth quarter, with Vandy leading 7-6 at the half and 14-9 after three quarters. Vanderbilt outgained Kentucky 448-322. After Kentucky took a 21-17 lead on a 72-yard touchdown run with 5:03 remaining, Vanderbilt scored on an eight yard pass with 32 seconds remaining.
Auburn 13, Texas A&M 10 - Even with the Tigers turning the ball over three times, the Aggies could only manage ten points and 215 yards total offense. Auburn led 7-0 at the half and 10-0 after three quarters. A&M scored on a 17-yard pass with 1:33 remaining after trailing 13-3. A&M is now 4-7 on the season, 1-6 in the SEC, and eliminated from bowl contention. Six straight losses for the Aggies.
National games
TCU 17, Texas 10 - The vaunted Texas offense, under the "genius" Steve Sarkisian, managed three points. Texas' touchdown came on a fumble return in the fourth quarter with the Longhorns trailing 17-3. Not a lot of offense on either side. The Horned Frogs led 3-0 at the half and 10-3 after three quarters. TCU clinched a spot in the Big 12 title game. They are 10-0 with a game at Baylor and at home against Iowa State remaining.
Washington 37, Oregon 34 - Over 1,100 yards total offense. After the Ducks took a 34-27 lead with 3:54 remaining, the Huskies tied the game on a 62-yard pass at 3:07, then kicked a 43-yard field goal with 51 seconds remaining.
Arizona 34, UCLA 28 - The Wildcats led 14-0 after one quarter. The Bruins took their only lead at 28-24 on a five yard touchdown run with 10:22 remaining, but the Wildcats scored the game's final ten points.
North Carolina 36, Wake Forest 34 - The teams combined for 1,074 yards total offense. Wake trailed 21-7 in the second quarter, but had one point leads twice in the third. A 33-yard field goal with 2:12 remaining decided it.
Boston College 21, North Carolina State 20 - The 3-7 Eagles stunned the 7-4 Wolfpack at home. Trailing 17-7 at the half, BC outscored NC State 14-3 the rest of the way. A two yard touchdown pass with 14 seconds remaining decided the game.
Central Florida 38, Tulane 31 - A rare matchup between two ranked AAC teams. The Knights never trailed, taking a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and eventually leading 24-7 in the second.
Notre Dame 35, Navy 32 - The 3-7 Midshipmen shut out the Irish in the second half while scoring 19 points. Navy outgained ND 363-335.
West Virginia 23, Oklahoma 20 - The Mountaineers' first win over the Sooners since joining the Big 12. A 25-yard field goal on the final play decided it.
Purdue 31, Illinois 24 - Tied at 21 after three quarters. The Boilermakers scored the first ten points of the fourth quarter to pull away.
