After seeing my first live Gator game in 48 years on October 8, I already had tentative plans to make the trip to Salt Lake City for the Utah game on September 2, 2023. The latest projection for the Las Vegas Bowl by 24/7 Sports has the Gators playing Washington State here on December 17. This is the first year of an SEC tie-in with the game. The Pac-12 has sent teams here for years. Now the opponent will alternate between the Big Ten and the SEC, with the SEC filling the spot in even numbered years.

Wow that would be great. And it might attract alumni to attend a low level bowl game based on its location. Fingers crossed Mojave!

We have already begun discussing a block ticket purchase, and sending invitations out to other clubs, especially those in the west. We should know by sometime Sunday where we are going, I would guess.
I went to the last Las Vegas Bowl with my late friend who passed away a week ago Saturday. We saw current LSU QB Jayden Daniels play for Arizona State, and he was about their entire offense. Hard to tell how good that he really was, because he was carrying almost the whole load. The only decent receiver that they had was Ricky Pearsall. That would be two consecutive years in the same bowl game for Pearsall, with two different teams from different leagues.
