Glaring example of one of our (many) issues, and this is 66.67% on Mullen and 33.33% on General Napier and his army, but this is telling, from the class of 2020 a tale of 2 DTs:
1) High 4 star, 6.0 (translates to All American candidate with 1-3 round potential), #5 at his position, 9 in Florida and 49 nationally. Goes to UGA.
2) 5 star, 6.1 (franchise player, first team all American candidate, 1st rounder), 3 at his position, 3 in Florida, 23 nationally. Goes to UF.
Player 1's stock has risen every year, now he's a top 5 pick and widely considered the best physical prospect in the draft. That's Jalen Carter.
Player 2's draft stock dropped as he played more time and gained more weight. Most people have him in round 2-3. That's Gervon Dexter.
The player sandwiched in between Carter and Dexter is Tim Smith who is another top 5 pick who is from Florida. I don't understand what is going on. It's concerning to me that scouts are saying O'Cyrus has a "terrible body" after a college career with this staff (albeit the majority in what I think must have been substandard facilities). It'll be interesting to see how we literally look next season.
