Etienne is still RB2 . So that’s awesome.

If he loses to Vandy at homecoming we should just fire him. Fuck it. I think you want to keep Armstrong, Raymond, Bateman, Peterson maybe Juluuke because those are the primary and secondary recruiter on all the blue chips from 24 anyway. I don't care who you give the interim tag to although it sure would be nice if you gave it to the actual offensive genius that actually cares about UF for more than a paycheck. Tell him his son can be the OC. Literally can't get worse.
This is the definition of insanity with the twist of "we're evaluating and analyzing so we're gonna stop doing the same shit and expecting different results because that's part of the deal. Right?" and then doing the same shit and expecting different results. That has become part of the process. The process of bullshit.

Also the backslide has started on the recruiting rankings. I can't wait to hear how the 9th ranked class in the country is about to completely turn the tide even as we lose more than we pick up in the portal.

I really think Etienne entering the portal might be a thing if he doesn’t see more touches. He’d be a feature back anywhere else. His brother has angry tweeted about the play calling before so these conversations are almost certainly going on between them.

And by more touches I don’t mean effing punt returns.

He could come off the edge on kick blocks. Got to be 4-5 plays a game there. He could be a GAME CHANGER!

It probably would work, but inevitably we would get a penalty (like two #7’s on the field) and give them a first down anyway.

Yes Sir, RDB heard our calls and in a mind blowing response to finding Etienne more touches, what could be better than letting him throw a pass out of the wildcat on a 2 point conversion. That should take all that Portal talk off the table for sure!
(It was actually a pretty good call and SC bit hook line and sinker.)

I liked the pass, we get creative every once in awhile on those 2 point conversions. I really don't know why they don't throw Etienne the ball more. He actually won that game for us with a block of all things on the 4th down TE screen, I'd have him on the field at all times because even as a decoy he has a big effect on the defense and that's really the only explosive play they have any respect for. The fact that South Carolina let Gutsy Graham keep throwing short and intermediate high % throws was confusing but I guess that's Beamer Ball 2.0.

I got to watch a condensed replay on YouTube yesterday. We have a really hard time tackling people so we better keep scoring points. The play calling was was definitely improved and speaking of throwing the ball to Etienne, I saw Johnson drop at least two balls that hit him in the hands. Our o line doesn’t really do anything well that I can see yet we still insist on running into the pile most of the times we run the ball. So yeah, blocking and tackling are important. All in all I’m really happy with a come from behind win on the road no doubt about that. But the tackling especially needs a lot of work.

All in all I’m really happy with a come from behind win on the road no doubt about that. But the tackling especially needs a lot of work. I watched the majority of it in real time on my phone. I agree, play calling was better especially in the first half. Although Gutsy Graham's completion percentage dropped his average depth of target went up over a yard from a laughable 5.53 to a still funny but not nearly as bad 6.81 (for reference Rattler and his shitty protection are 13th at 7.19). I'm not great with math but that means he averaged at least 6 more yards per throw Saturday than he did coming in. That may have been what made the pass to Boardingham on 4&11 that he caught behind the line and made a nice run following Etienne's block possible because even though he was only 4-12 on throws 20 yards downfield at least we took some shots. There's no way to credit the pass where he missed slick Rick(y) but at least he threw the ball, and hard enough to make it to Wilson off the deflection. This next 5 game stretch is brutal. If we play like we did Saturday we should win 1 (Arkansas), we have more talent than 2 of the teams (Ark and Mizzou), and LSU has shown a propensity to lay an egg here and there. Crazy shit can happen against FSU in the Swamp as well. Cannot and will not complain about a road win against a team with decent talent. Hopefully it's something we can build on. Hoping that we show enough to hold the recruiting class together, keep Etienne in school, and maybe force people to take us seriously next year and beyond. Either way, I'm here for it. Go Gators.
