That would be nuts. I know this sounds a tad bonkers, but id like to see Striklin leave/fired etc. and Urb become FLA AD. Just give him a few quality assistants that can handle the Title IX/non football sports and i think he'd thrive. It would be nice to have an AD that for once doesn't value Tennis, Water Polo, Diving, Golf, Lacrosse etc. Championships the same as a Football Championship, you know the #1 revenue generating sport that can fund all other sports.

Way back on Oct. 3, Fox Sports radio host Bernie Fratto reported that an interview between Michigan State and Meyer was intimate, but that report was strongly questioned by one of Meyer's colleagues on Fox Sports' Big Noon Kickoff — Brady Quinn.
I assume that the writer meant "imminent", but I digress. Michigan State just dismissed a coach for inappropriate off-field conduct. Would they really consider replacing Mel Tucker with Captain Lap Dance?

Michigan State is in the running for the biggest joke of a program in the country. First I heard they were going to get Dantonio to come back to save the day. Here's that White knight: In that same regard, I agree that Urban would make a fine AD assuming Spurrier doesn't want the job. I'd be fine hiring him as a coach again because he can still win and maybe he'd bring in a solid protege to hand it off to. Hire saints in the non-revenue sports, you gotta win in the big time sports and we're not doing that right now. Interesting. I wonder if Stricklin would make him interview for the head coaching gig? Had this possibility been posed a few years ago, I would say there is zero chance Meyer would even consider coming back to contend with the pressure of beating Alabama. He would suffer at least a heart attack and a stroke if he did. However, now that the tide has shifted in favor of Georgia, I think he would seriously consider it because I truly believe Kirby is a great recruiter and GM who sucks at coaching. And I think Urban is competitive and egotistical enough to want to prove he is a better coach.
