www.onlygators.com/11/27/2023/florida-fires-assistants-corey-raymond-sean-spencer-as-billy-napier-reorganizes-staff-per-reports/Wow. I couldn't think of a worse place to start. Your best recruiter (with the possible exception of Bateman) and the position group that performed the best on the team relative to their talent. Probably the 2 most highly regarded coaches on staff nationally. By the way "Man WTH" was from the #2 safety in the country and a 5 star. Cherry on top is that he's from Texas and close to Lagway. Spicer was the secondary recruiter on McCray who is our top rated kid on 24/7. Primary is Austin Armstrong but I don't believe for a second that the 30 year old kid from Southern Miss is actually who any of these kids committed to. The timing is really puzzling as well given that you probably can't talk to any potential replacements because their teams are in bowl games before National Signing Day. I really don't think he gets it at all. Like at all. Amarius Williams is presumed to be already gone. I think we lose Filsaime now. There may very well be more dominos to fall. We're already down to 12 on Rivals. This class will not wind up in the top 10 in either service is my prediction.

Why start making sense at this point? I’d say this is very on brand for Napier. The guy is obviously just throwing everything against the wall and hoping something sticks eventually. It’s the opposite of a plan. Par for the course in my opinion. This class will certainly lose more guys and maybe implode all together.

Yeah I saw that, that's something I guess. Take what we can get at this point. I read somewhere that "staff changes were necessary as Austin Armstrong turns over his defensive staff," which I guess means that we get to see more Sunbelt wizardry next season. If only there were a former all time great Gator DC working as an analyst in Alabama who would take a job in Gainesville. One with recruiting ties in the State of Florida born from his time as a head coach and assistant in the Power 5. Just kidding Charlie, you have been a head coach and are therefore a threat to RDB and his magnificently consistent hair. No soup for you. Bring back Mr. Jiggles and his fired up celebrations that incite targeting and spitting on people. That is a leader of men.

The first staff change that should have been made was getting rid of that dumb fucking staff they pass around the sidelines when a player does his job. I know it is technically a mase, but man would I love to see it get snapped in half right in front of the team and coaches.

I was in Louisiana for Thanksgiving, and a cousin (LSU alum) was saying that Raymond was a prized assistant and recruiter out there, was cut by Brian Kelly when he came in, but that fans and boosters had been making a big push lately to snatch him back from Florida. Looks like Napier did their job for them. It'll be fun playing against his secondary every year now, great job everyone.

And here I was hoping that the "game changer" analyst was the first one cut loose.
