Starting around 5:30
"I was told by a player in the portal he's leaving for 2 reasons 1) player development 2) Strength and Conditioning"
"we can't fire the S&C coach because he's the associate head coach "
They're hosting recruits this weekend without position coaches.
Is Stricklin intentionally sabotaging the program?

Should be fixed. Worth looking later on as well as they profess their confusion as to how you are supposed to recruit without two position coaches.

Evidently we fully guarantee contracts for associate head coaches now.

Yeah, definitely a smart move for any positional coach is to get that added to his title. That way he can't be fired because. Guess Napier's hands are tied on that one.
So to recap our offseason thus far, we have lost 11 players and counting to the portal, have shown no real urgency in going after anyone significant to fill these holes and the many other glaring holes that were already in our roster. We fired two positional coaches (ones that likely would help in recruiting to the previously mentioned roster openings) with no urgency or publically known plan to replace them. In addition, there has been no mention of how we will address the main areas of concern i.e. offensive line, offense in general, defense in every possible way imaginable. We have done nothing to address the special teams fiasco, and the main two reasons recruits are leaving the program appears to be development and strength and conditioning. Also, RDB just got punk'd by a 15-year-old on his most recent recruiting trip. So what are all of the positive things half of our fanbase keep referring to that are happening in Gainesville? Because if someone can point to one thing that is going well right now, just one thing, anything that points to an upward trajectory for this program, I will jump on board.

I was thinking about the staff changes and what position coach of any skill and/or experience is going to replace the guy who built LSU into DBU and/or a guy with 30 years of experience including at much more successful power 5 programs AND recruited Saquon Barkley and Micah Parsons to work for a 30 year old guy who has never even been a position coach in the Power 5?
On offense what OC is going to come in and work for a head coach who clearly wants to continue calling plays and running the offense? Like the DC on defense with Toney coaching the safeties and supposedly this year Raymond was still the CB coach and at practice Armstrong was working with safeties and LBers, Rob Sale was the OC in name and worked with far and away the worst position group on the offense last year, the exterior Offensive Line (in other words the OTs). I don't even need PFF subscription to tell you that the Tackles had the lowest rating on Offense. Sale is the ultimate Napier yes man and I seriously doubt RDB will nut up and fire him. He's probably got a guaranteed contract anyway.
Let's leave out the fact that the majority of the talent on the roster is leaving including the only 2 guys with anywhere near first round grades in the next 2 years. It is absolutely clown shoes right now.
If we lose one of the 5 stars from this class and/or the OVERALL class taking into account transfer portal movement both ways is not in the top 10 Florida should absolutely move on from Napier sooner than later. Before that they need to fire Stricklin and name Spurrier interim AD or just put him in charge of the job search.

Oh but at least we're spending a ton of money renovating the stadium so everybody will be comfortable and have a nice view of the shitshow on the field. Can't think of anywhere that money would go further, it's not like you can pay guys for their name, image, and likeness. NIL stands for Napier Is Likable as far as we're concerned.
Bull Gators are going to have to pull their money until Stricklin is replaced if anything is going to get done.

Fire Scott Stricklin is a great topic. Who could we get to replace him? I'm not familiar with the hiring process for AD's. But you are correct in that must be done first before we consider hiring a new football coach. We don't want him involved in any more hires.

I recall Nick Savage was a well-respected S&C coach before RDB kicked him out and replaced him with his Sunbelt guy. In fact the players at the time tried to convince them to keep Nick to no avail.

I watched the video this morning. If I wasn't pessimistic before, I certainly am now. I'm not going to bother with going Fire Billy Napier, because that will take care of itself. Right now, I would wager that he won't make it through the 2024 season. The AD also needs to go, and whoever replaces him needs to ignore Jeremy Foley.
I watched a YouTube video last night by a college football analyst regarding five teams expected to make big jumps this season. Two of them are bad news for Florida (if they happen) from both a W/L and recruiting perspective: Miami and Central Florida.

But you are correct in that must be done first before we consider hiring a new football coach. We don't want him involved in any more hires. It seems like the best AD's are either top administrators who work their way up or alumni who care about their school. Stricklin is neither. He should go back to Starkville. Sometimes it's a famous former coach like Spurrier. Other times it's someone who has proven worthy of oversight usually with some coaching experience and hometown roots (Gene Smith at Ohio State). I can't find one example of a guy who left his alma matter and the only place he ever worked for a better job and had success. It's really not that hard, if they can't get Spurrier or someone like that to do it, hire an administrator whose ego can handle the University hiring a search committee or appointing someone to run the next football coaching search.
