Anybody hearing anything yet? I haven't heard a peep. No candidates no nothing. there was the coach O stuff out there but that was quickly debunked I believe. The silence is deafening.

In a world where confounding strategy has become the norm, this one may be the weirdest of all. I googled and I can't find anything other than Orgeron and the Pitt coach from late November. Williams (4th ranked kid in the class 3 technique DE or DT) is a presumed flip, Filsaime (2nd ranked) is considered 50/50 at best BEFORE he goes to Austin this weekend (still don't understand why Napier hasn't done an in-person with him), and then McCray (3) is a DE who may grow into playing inside (although we really love our 360-450 lbs. DTs) who just took a trip to Auburn but I think his Dad works at UF so we should be alright. Either way, with Princely and guys on the fence plus the portal not having a position coach anywhere much less a position of need is crazy right now. Since the Pitt kid who visited just committed to South Carolina I'm guessing maybe it won't be the line coach from Pitt.

Maybe Tits McGee is surveying the recruits to see who they would like to have as DL corch. We clearly don’t have a proactive plan. Maybe I don’t pay attention the way I used to, but it seems to me that most other head coaches don’t fire a staff member for performance unless they have a replacement in mind. Also, I don’t recall there ever being a need to conduct a thorough search for a position coach. Anyway, everything RDB does is slow, so this tracks. Slow offense, slow to be active in the portal, slow to make changes, slow to hire, slow to win, etc.

Slow to talk, slow to give his best player the ball, etc etc…

It is preposterous that we don't have a D-line coach. Maybe it's like Harris where they want to time their exit just right, like a week before the defense gives up 63 to someone named Aidan O'Connell.

Goodness gracious. That’s what happens when a defense loses its best coach. Odds are we are going after a D-Line coach from New England or Washington. Shouldn’t be too much longer.

His resume reads like a pain in the ass paralegal who pisses people off everywhere he goes and never lasts more than 6 months. But he was an analyst at LSU when Napier was kicking ass in the sunbelt so I’m sure it’ll work out. I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more Sunbelt

Is it just me, or have all of this guys’ stops come either a year before or a year after those teams had success but not during?

Maybe it's like Harris where they want to time their exit just right, like a week before the defense gives up 63 to someone named Aidan O'Connell. That even stunned us locally. It usually takes the Raiders about a month to score 63 points. They lost 3-0 to the Vikings the week before, and that was also a home game.
