Another report says that "discussions" may be too broad a term, that those two schools have reached out to gauge interest, but that doesn't mean that there are active negotiations.
We should find out within the next 10-14 days.

The farther he is away from Gainesville the better. He’s probably bringing two 5 stars and couple more 4 stars including his son who has been a stud at QB. In the right situation he can build a dynasty but if he’s anywhere close to Gainesville he’s a problem for us.

Dion is claiming he has his choice of Colorado, USF, and Cincinnati, or staying at Jackson State. Say's he will decide after Saturday's conference championship game. Let's hope for Colorado, with a second hope for Cincinnati. We do not need him in Tampa.

I'm hoping he stays at Jackson State because in his mind those jobs are beneath him. In may not only be in his mind which I did not expect to be saying. I thought this was going to be a 2-3 season deal and he'd get bored and go do something else, but he's pretty damn good at this so far.

Yeah I was really happy when Ole Miss fell on their butts to close the season, thus blowing Kiffin's chance of getting the Auburn job. I was really afraid if Kiffin left Ole Miss they would snatch up Deion, and Ole Miss is the type of place he could continue what he has started at Jackson State without missing a beat. He would never lose a Mississippi kid and he would poach more than a handful from inner city Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. Not to mention what he would steal from South Florida and inner city Louisiana.

ESPN is reporting tonight that he is about to take the Colorado job. According to the news item, he told a player in the transfer portal to hold off on committing because he wants to sign him in Boulder. Sources: Deion Sanders preparing to accept Colorado coaching jobA source told ESPN on Friday night that Sanders' outreach included a call to a prominent player in the NCAA transfer portal, encouraging him to not make a decision because Sanders was heading to Colorado and wanted to recruit him there.

It's a strange fit though. I lived near Boulder and I know a lot about it. First, if you see a black person in Boulder, the odds are vanishingly close to 100% that they play a sport for CU. It is the most lily white town I've ever seen. So in comes Coach Prime with his flash and swagger. He'll do great with recruits, which is exactly what CU needs, but he'll always be an oddball there. It's a super liberal town, so I'm not talking blatant racism or anything like that. I'm just talking about "fit". Hell, maybe that's what both he and CU need, to upset the apple cart a little bit. The Fake Cajun (tm) seems to be doing OK at LSU.

Did anyone happen to catch his introduction to the current Colorado team? He basically told them all to enter the transfer portal and make room for his new recruits. Also, he introduced his son as their starting QB. He will definitely shake things up, and they may win a bunch of games. However, I am not sure how sustainable his approach will be in a power 5 conference. He is following the John Calipari basketball model, but I’m not sure how that works if he is going to turn a blind eye to anyone who doesn’t walk in the door as a blue chip starter.
