Utah 47, Southern California 24 - The first upset of playoff weekend, one that has massive implications for the college football playoff. The Trojans scored easily on their first and second drives, and leading early 14-3 it appeared that they might turn the game into a rout. The Utes defense settled in, and the offense scored 23 points in the fourth quarter to blow the game open. The Trojans had only 56 yards rushing.
Conference USA
Texas-San Antonio 48, North Texas 27 - The Roadrunners took a 24-10 lead into the half. The Mean Green got to within 34-27 in the fourth quarter, but UTSA scored the final 14 points. UNT had two turnovers.

Big 12
Kansas State 31, TCU 28, OT - After appearing to be out of the game trailing 28-17 in the fourth quarter, the Horned Frogs rallied to tie the game late on a touchdown and two point conversion. After they were stuffed on fourth and goal from inside the one yard line, the Wildcats won on a field goal.
Mid American
Toledo 17, Ohio 7 - The Rockets took the lead for good with 16 seconds remaining in the half on a field goal to lead 10-7. A conference famous for high scores had none of that in their title game.
Sun Belt
Troy 45, Coastal Carolina 26 - The Trojans led 31-7 at the half and never looked back. The Chanticleers scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter after the game was no longer in doubt.
American Athletic
Tulane 45, Central Florida 28 - The Green Wave led 17-7 at the half, and put the game away with a 21-point fourth quarter. The Knights got to within 31-28 in the fourth quarter, but Tulane scored the game's final 14 points.
Mountain West
Fresno State 28, Boise State 16 - The Broncos led 3-0 early, but never again. The Bulldogs led 28-9 in the fourth quarter. Two turnovers by Boise.
SEC
Georgia 50, LSU 30 - The Bulldogs led 35-7 in the second quarter and were never really pushed after the Tigers tied the game at 7 early. LSU was made one dimensional, passing for 502 yards but rushing for only 47.
SWAC
Jackson State 43, Southern 24 - In what was likely Deion Sanders' final game as head coach of the Tigers, JSU took a 26-0 lead in the first quarter and it was game over.
ACC
Clemson 39, North Carolina 10 - The Tigers led 24-10 at the half, and shut the Tarheels out in the second half. NC turned the ball over three times.
Big Ten
Michigan 43, Purdue 22 - The Boilermakers kept it close for a half, trailing 14-13 at the break. Then Michigan's defense began to take over, holding Purdue to field goals. Purdue outgained Michigan by about 80 yards.
