I'm not a fan of USC. Never have been. So much swagger for so little results, they're essentially the non-religious Notre Dame (though ND has at least made it to recent championship games). It's always irked me that they continue to claim a title in 2003. So watching Utah beat them was very satisfying. www.espn.com/collegefootball/story/_/id/35168500/utah-repeats-pac-12-champs-knocks-usc-playoffBut then I see this slant from ESPN: "Late INT and TD give Utah the Pac-12 title" I'm sorry — what now? "Late INT and TD" helps Utah beat USC? Utah won by 23 points! Utah was leading by a TD going into the fourth quarter, USC tied it up, Utah scored three more TDs and a field goal. It wasn't close, wasn't a Hail Mary or a fluke play. USC never led in the second half, and Utah broke the halftime tie five minutes into the 3rd quarter and led the rest of the way. What weird spin to put on it.

USC is right up there with Bama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and UGA on my hate wagon. Oddly enough I’m rooting for UGA today because I don’t want Kelly to win an SEC title in his first year at LSU. My ND hate followed him south. I used to hate Nebraska too but now I just feel bad for them. On second thought, no I don’t. F Nebraska too.

He earned some respect from me but I do like most in the SEC hate ND! At least he got there. Hoping our new coaching staff gets us there within the next two seasons! Play calling and recruiting has to get better soon for that to happen.

I had an extra incentive, in addition to living out west and having to deal with USC's "fans" on a regular basis whenever they are any good. As an Oklahoma alumnus, I am more than a little hacked at Lincoln Riley and the disingenuous way that he handled his exit. He took recruits, coaches and players with him. Some within the program said that he preached loyalty to coach above loyalty to school, and as a result about half the roster left when Riley took the USC job. Not all went to USC, of course, but significant playmakers did.
I have no problem with him taking another job. It was definitely his right to seek other employment. He did not have the right to severely damage the program who paid him handsomely to coach until he decided that he had found an easier path to the playoff.
