Mo, you should probably change the name of this thread to "Non Bowl Participants" so we can chat about all of them together. I am sure there will be more.

I don’t blame them. In reality you’re 6-6 playing for nothing in the Las Vegas Bowl. If my body was worth millions potentially (spoiler: it’s not) I’d have a hard time talking myself into that.

I am still amazed that a 6 and 7 QB as a starter is going to go high to mid first round. I have no doubt he will, it just amazes me. He skills are unquestionable, but another year of SEC football could do nothing but help his growth. I can't believe anyone who will draft him this year is planning to start him right away so why not let him get the reps at UF and then draft him next year? I guess much like everything else in the world today it is all about control. It is just a sad situation and bleak outlook for the college game. I just hope "one and done" doesn't become as big a thing in college football as it has in college basketball.

New additions..... Gervon Dexter, declared for draft Nay'Quan Wright, transfer portal Lorenzo Lingard, transfer portal Chief Borders, transfer portal Plus 14 other transfer portal guy's that didn't play enough to list out. List of portal announcements is at the end of the linked Richardson article link

I never understood why Lingard didn’t get more reps. Kid is a beast.

Richardson leaving early is better than if he had entered the portal and gone to Ohio State or someplace else where he had a better chance of success. Those optics would have sucked. I don't think the kid really enjoys college football enough to have come back. Especially at UF. Unless he was more injured than he let on and/or the staff told him not to run. O'Cyrus was always gone, top interior lineman in the country. Dexter is surprising because I think he ate himself right out of the first round, maybe he will diet down in time for the combine but at the end of the year he certainly was not performing like a day 1 (or even 2) prospect. If he does I will have some concerns about the S&C department, but I kind of already do. Justin Shorter I'm sure had the football world on pins and needles awaiting his decision. And by football world I mean his mom. He could very well go down as the biggest miss at WR in recruiting ranking history though since he was the consensus #1 WR in a class that included Chase, Waddle, St. Brown, Dotson, and Marshall.
So when is it okay to say that the exodus is becoming problematic? Personally, I promised myself I wouldn't panic until either:
A) We see what comes back in the portal or B) Etienne enters the portal
Going to weigh in on a couple that are really not good for us:
Helm would have been on the 2 deep next year and at least competed for the starting spot at star. Lee was Dexter's backup and probably should have started over Watson if they didn't want to give the job to McLellan for whatever reason. McMillan started against FSU and was in line to compete for a starting spot at safety next year especially if Torrence leaves early (seems doubtful but you never know, Trey Dean is back to getting some mid-round buzz). Collier is the same deal. Other than that I think you're just opening up spots for recruiting including the portal. How they're filled will tell the tale, but there is a shitload of work to do.

I never understood why Lingard didn’t get more reps. Kid is a beast. Two reasons: 1) Dan Mullen 2) Billy Napier He really looked like he could have contributed at any point. That said Etienne is clearly the better back and Johnson's style is a better compliment to Etienne (although for some reason we did it the other way around, hopefully that flips in 23) so I don't think it's a huge loss.

Yeah I think we’re ok at RB I was just really excited when he went to Gainesville. He went to HS the next town over and I watched him play a few times and thought for sure he’d a #1 type of back. Big, freakishly strong and pretty damned fast.

Yeah I always wondered why he couldn't get on the field, especially when Dan Mullen rotated so much that an Offensive ROY candidate and the best rookie back in the league averaged single digit touches per game in an offense that couldn't throw. I'm just terrified we're gonna lose Etienne. Maybe if there's only 2 back on the roster those chances go down. Don't mind growing pains, they're to be expected I suppose, but that would definitely leave a mark.

We got his momma on our side. She has stated several times she likes her boys being in Gville and Jaxs. Fingers crossed.

We got his momma on our side. She has stated several times she likes her boys being in Gville and Jaxs. Fingers crossed. Yeah, I think we're okay there, plus I really liked our O-line coaching and development. O-line, RB, and DB (aside from running Trey Dean out in perpetuity, but credit where it's due somehow they got far and away the best production and he's popping back up in mock drafts for the first time since his Freshman year which was 5 years ago) I thought the coaching and development was really good. I don't get this, but even the S&C program seemed to work in those rooms, but our D-line, LBers, and pass catchers somehow regressed physically as well mentally. I'm assuming we don't have separate S&C coaches/programs for position groups, but I think we do have a running game coordinator and passing game coordinator. If those two titles actually accurately describe job duties one deserves a raise and the other deserves a reprimand. Logistically he has no reason to leave, but logic doesn't always carry the day, but momma usually does.
