R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, New Orleans: Jacksonville State 34, Louisiana 31, OT - The Gamecocks overcame three defensive touchdowns by the Ragin' Cajuns. JSU scored on an 18 yard touchdown pass on fourth down with 1:46 remaining to force overtime. This was JSU's first bowl game as an FBS school.
Avocados From Mexico Cure Bowl, Orlando: Appalachian State 13, Miami (OH) 9 - Sloppy game with five turnovers played in a game long downpour.
Isleta New Mexico Bowl, Albuquerque: Fresno State 37, New Mexico State 10 - The Aggies were held to 200 yards total offense, to 491 for the Bulldogs. They were 11/25 for 58 yards passing. Fresno blew the game open with a 17-0 fourth quarter.
LA Bowl, Inglewood, California: UCLA 35, Boise State 22 - The Broncos led 16-7 at the half. The Bruins changed quarterbacks in the second half and scored the next 28 points.

WKU scored on a 15 yard touchdown pass on fourth and goal with 19 seconds remaining to force overtime. WKU trailed by 28 points in the third quarter. In the overtime, ODU overcame a sack on the first play to get first and goal at the one. WKU held until fourth down. A a false start penalty forced the Monarchs to attempt a field goal, which was blocked.

Kentucky's Barion Brown returned the second half kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown, a new record for the Gator Bowl. The previous record of 90 yards was set in the first Gator Bowl game in 1946. Clemson scored the winning touchdown with 17 seconds remaining.
Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, El Paso: Notre Dame 40, Oregon State 8 - The Beavers were held to 197 yards total offense, including two yards rushing.
AutoZone Liberty Bowl, Memphis: Memphis 36, Iowa State 26 - And it wasn't this close, Tigers led 36-13 in the third quarter. The Cyclones had 446 yards total offense, of which 0 was rushing.
Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Arlington, Texas: Missouri 14, Ohio State 3 - The Buckeyes were down to a backup quarterback, who was injured in the first half. Their defense made a first quarter field goal stand up into the fourth quarter, when the Tigers put together touchdown drives of 95 and 91 yards. The Buckeyes managed only 203 yards of total offense. Over half of Mizzou's 331 yards came in the fourth quarter.

TransPerfect Music City Bowl, Nashville: Maryland 31, Auburn 13 - Four Auburn turnovers were the story. Statistically pretty even except for that.
Capital One Orange Bowl, Miami : Georgia 63, Florida State 3 - Ladies and gentlemen, your 2023 national champions, the Florida State Seminoles! Well, maybe not. I wonder if DeSantis will personally present their championship rings. After turning the ball over on downs on their first possession, Georgia scored touchdowns on their next nine, including twice with their backup quarterback in the game, the first a 90 yard drive. Georgia's only punt came with 7:10 remaining. The largest margin of victory in any bowl game. It was amusing hearing the Marching Chiefs play the war chant with them trailing 56-3 in the fourth quarter.
Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, Tucson, Ariz.: Wyoming 16, Toledo 15 - After not scoring since first quarter field goals on their first two drives, the Cowboys scored ten points in the fourth quarter, including a game winning field goal on the final play. Wyoming's quarterback was knocked out of the game on the second play of the final drive. A personal foul on a pass play gave them an extra cushion for the final kick.
