We just lost 4/5 star safety commit Filsaime to Texas. Where does our recruiting class rank now? We seem to be sinking.

10 on 247 and 13 on Rivals. Consensus is that we'll lose at least Amaris Williams and probably Hayes. We should hold Lagway, Graham, and McCray. Hopefully Mincey replaces Filsaime, he's not as good but still a top 100 type kid. Evidently an Arkansas decommit at RB is likely to commit. Looks like we'll end up in the 10-15 area. Time to start putting makeup on the pig. We'll get the obvious "we wanted our second or third choice all along" and "these kids are all in those others were on the fence" plus "our evaluation process is analytical and a process that is meticulous attention to detail," but the real fun is going to be if/when RDB starts getting creative.

The Canes seem to be doing well, at least so far.

Annnnnnnd evidently it's a NIL battle between Auburn and UF for LJ McCray, Williams and Hayes both expected to flip to Auburn and Miami respectively, which leaves Lagway as our "solid" 5 star, my guess is that USC and A&M are coming in with big bucks especially now that USC QB room just lost their presumed starter. You can either go play for Lincoln Riley who's starters as a head coach have been Baker (1/1), Murray (1/1), Hurts (All-pro), and Williams (presumptive 1/1) in an open competition and or you can come play for Billy Napier, maybe Willie Korn (be still my heart) who will be his Minnie me if he actually hires an OC, and backup Gutsy Graham the Checkdown man. He's a loyal kid and his Dad says that he's solid because Florida has been all in from day 1, but we'll see.

In recent memory have we flipped any recruits into our boat as opposed to all those that flip out of our boat. For the life of me I can't think of any. We go out and recruit, we make out our list, on signing day we lose 20% or so of the list and then we go high five each other, pat ourselves on the back and say ok there it is.

We go out and recruit, we make out our list, on signing day we lose 20% or so of the list and then we go high five each other, pat ourselves on the back and say ok there it is. This year you'll have people point to the Baugh kid (RB that decommitted from Arkansas) as if that makes up for losing Filsaime, Williams, and Hayes and possibly McCray. I've been fairly consistently amazed by that over every coaching regime since really Muschamp (who did get some late action albeit all on Defense), we generally start off hot, lose momentum down the stretch (although usually not to this degree), and then the recruitniks say "this is an underrated class, we got everybody we wanted." This class was top 3 6 weeks ago, it's already probably out of the top 10 because there seems to be an assumption that Williams and Hayes are gone. If we lose McCray or Lagway? I would think we fall out of the top 15. If we lose both we have to be in the 20s. We'll probably wind up "flipping" some safety from a smaller school since we missed on Mincey, and I've even heard how good a safety Bridges (Oregon CB transfer) would make. It's like part of the fanbase and all the local writers have Stockholm syndrome. It is such a weird pattern.

If Langway flips to USC, do we have enough to fill a QB room?

Bright side, if nothing else we have added depth on the O-line.

And one of them played for a German team called the Unicorns. That's pretty awesome.

At least one sports news outlet is calling Florida one of the big losers of national signing day.
